The White Wolf Metaverse - Can you hack it?
The White Wolf Security on-line Metaverse is looking for Beta Testers. The metaverse is an online lab that provides penetration testers and network defenders a safe environment to improve their skills and try new tactics and tools. The Metaverse provides penetration testers with their own BT 4 VM and a growing list of targets that they are free to engage.
General Login Information:
1. Surf to http://metaverse.whitewolfsecurity.com (yep, it's an expired cert)
2. Log in (with the RedCell credentials below), agree to the terms and then point your browser to https://10.10.9.51
3. Download and install the VI client (windows only for now)
4. While connected to the VPN, run the VI client and connect it to 10.10.9.52 and login with your VPN credentials.
5. A list of virtual machine(s) that you have access to will be displayed on the left.
6. If you are Red Cell (attacker), you may connect to the BT 4 VM and engage the target space of 130.68.81.0/24. The IP addresses used are to be engaged only within the confines of the Metaverse and using the provided Virtual Machines. Failure to do so may result in you engaging live targets on the Internet.
7. After you login, open a browser session within the VM and surf to http://xploits.org for further details
