Zone Alarm claims it's cracked spyware problem
ZONE LABS claimed the latest version of Zone Alarm, version 6.0, will prevent malware and spyware from gaining a foothold on a PC.
This has got to be good news for people who throw away their PCs at the first hint of spyware or viral attacks.
The firm said that version 6.0 of Zone Alarm offers a defence mechanism called OSFirewall. This is a kernel level firewall which monitors any suspicious behaviour affecting programs, files and OS and disables programs that look like they're meddling.
The software monitors the registry keys, start up processes and other Windows files and will also protect malware embedded in downloads, said the firm.
