Hackers use Highland Rail Partnership site to send out 100,000 e-mails/hr
A Rail agency boss is considerably hacked off after an internet hacker hijacked its computer system.
Unknown hackers logged into the Highland Rail Partnership site then used it to send out 100,000 junk e-mails an hour.
It left staff at its Lairg headquarters without use of the system for eight days with director Frank Roach hopeful that it would be restored by the end of this week.
He said: "I do not fully understand the technicalities but I am told these things happen fairly frequently.
