Hackers post on DuPage County election Web site

DuPage County's computer experts are investigating how hackers broke into the county's Election Commission Web site and posted mock entries under a voter information link.

On Thursday the County Election Commission was alerted to a post under a qualification list for potential voters that read, "You may not be a homosexual."

An online hacker intruded again either later Thursday or Friday and added another line to the same list that read: "Your grandfather must have voted."

Both entries were removed and officials are trying to figure out if any laws were broken.

County officials said neither voter registration files nor the commission's vote-counting systems for the upcoming election were tampered with.
